OS update

I have xperia SP. Since morning I am trying to update the OS but sony PC companian is stuck at "preparing computer for software update".. Remaining time is showing as 9 hrs.

I am using a broadband connection (1Mbps) for update.

Pls help.

the update its about 300MB you can imagine how long its going to take with that slow connection, you need to get a faster connection

i am trying to update this with a speed of 1mbps net...and you can't that this is a slow net... in INDIA it is among one of the fastest net speed... anyways thats not the point... my data usage always crosses 500mb and still haven't been able to download the whole thing completely even after 6-7 trials

Are you trying to update your phone while tethering your phone's connection? if you are, that is not going to work.
