I can not open pdf files protected by a pin number. It says the file is corupted or not supported. The file is ok, I have opened it on an old Galaxy Ace phone without a problem. Has anybody the same experience?
Hi Frantizsekk,
Welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.
Can you please advise if you have downloaded Adobe Reader from the Play Store? as this would be the best software to use when opening a PDF file.
Let us know how you get on.
Hi, Adobe reader could not open it either. It says, that the file is damaged. It is actualy my payslip, that cannot be opened. It is protected by a pin number. My previous xperia neo v can open it too.
Try another copy of that pdf
Switch usb mode to "mass storage mode" then copy that pdf from pc

I have already tryed that. No success.
The size of the file is usualy arround 9Kb
It comes every week via email and no one can be opened. I have tryed many apps, and none worked. Same file, same email, just a differend phone- no problems at all. It has asked me for a pin, and then opened the file.
EDIT: I have just tryed my Wife´s Xperia Z and it didn´t open the passsword protected pdf too. Strange.
Than I tryed Galaxy Ace and Xperia neo V(same file), no problems.

Dear Sony. I can see, that You are hard at it. You are so busy, that You can not even answer me a simple question.
No, quickoffice did not work. This is a problem with sony firmware, because my wife´s Xperia Z will not open it either.
Xperia neo V or S galaxy ace have no problem with the same file.
SONY HAS NO ANSWER.
Ordinary pdf files without problems
