Notification Sound selection

First Post so hope I don't mess up

I've selected a Notification sound for my Z1 (C6903) and it works - once or twice - but then reverts back to "Signature" which is not what i want. I've done this multiple times hoping for a different outcome :smileysmileywink:

This started to happen after the upgrade to 4.4.4.

Hope someone has an answer..

By chance is the ring tone a custom ringtone and is it located on the SD card?

If so, it is due to the act of removing the MicroSD card often and it reverts to the "signature" ringtone because it has lost access to the song in the removed MicroSD card

Not on the SD card.

I select Altair from the standard available options using Sound Picker.

Within an hour and perhaps 2 notifications, it switches back to Signature.

Try loading the device in to safemode, from here add the ringtone that you want and then try using it for a period of time, if the Ringtone never changes, then this could be third party software that keeps defaulting your notification settings.
