Notification pulldown screen turns off while using

Hello, this is a problem with my Xperia Z about the notification pulldown screen turning off very quickly and even while I'm touching the screen.

After my LED light tells me I have a notification, I turn the phone on and pull down the notification screen.

While I'm checking my notifications (swiping to clear or scrolling up and down), the screen will turn off. The timer on this is very inconsistent. Sometimes, it's only five seconds, sometimes up to 15 seconds, but it always turns off. Sometimes it turns off several times in a row while I'm trying to check my notifications.

Sounds strange. It should indeed turn off (to prevent you removing things when it's in your pocket). Mine turns off after ~6 seconds even if I'm using it. I guess it's intended for just checking the notifications - if you want to use the phone you click the notification and it unlocks the screen it will be on until it times out via your setting or when you press the on/off button again.

Do you use any 3rd party launcher or other custom apps that might interfere?
