Notification LED color is always WHITE after Jelly bean update & the LED is also not showing notifications

After updating to Jelly Bean my notification LED color has changed to white for every notifications (calls, messages, gmail etc...)

And it also stops giving notifications after a while...

I mean the LED blinks in color WHITE while an incomming call, but does not blink after I miss it (as a missed call notification).

Same for messages : as soon as I get a message it just blinks once (in color WHITE) and then does not blink after that (as an unread message notification)...

So I have two problems :

        -> The LED color is always WHITE.

        -> No led notification (that slowly blinking one) for missed calls, unread messages, unread gmail, viber...  (the notifications works for a while (but only with color WHITE) after reapir/reset..etc but then it stopps working)

While charging the LED works fine (RED, ORANGE then GREEN)

The notification sound and vibration is working fine..

And in the settings menu of the default message app "Notification Light" is ticked..

I have repaired my phone with Update Service and PC companion several times. I have also done a factory reset several times.. but still the same problem...

I dont use stamina mode.

I dont use whats app, in fact I have uninstalled it.

the problem is still there with not having viber installed, so viber is not causing it.

I dont have any apps installed for the illumination bar or LED...

I also went to the service menu (*#*#service#*#*)

  then service tests>LEDIllumination

  the LED blinks fine in RED GREEN BLUE ... hence no problem with the led...

the LED notification was really cool before with different colors, you could just look at the phone from a distance and tell what it is, a message, missed call, a mail etc.. After an update a phone is supposed to be better and still have its amazing original features...

Is there anyone facing with the same problem after the Jelly Bean update ? or have any solutions ?

Don't know if this change was made intentionally but i'll forward this as feedback.

If you don't get any LED notification, try turning off Stamina under Settings -> Power management.

I actually have stamina mode turned off, which I already mentioned in the original post, but still no notifications, it just blinks once (in color white) the moment I get an email, sms etc..

This have now been checked and in the latest phone software the LED is supposed to only indicate in white color. But it should not stop indicating like you describe. IF it does you could try reinstalling the phone using SUS.

To get the LED to indicate in different colors I suggest that you use any third party application from Play store such as "Illumination bar notification".

If its only suppose to indicate in white, why does mine indicate in colors? i have white when its whatsapp or hangouts, but it blinks blue when i have a facebook notification or a SMS!

Just to inform you guys if you want you can change the LED indication light color for whatsapp! my whatsapp blinks in green as i changed it, but by default FB notifications are in blue and messages are in white!

sorry for getting back so late..

I just wanted to inform that my notification LED is now working fine after the new update 6.2.A.1.100, it doesn't stop indicating now.

But I hope that sony again adds colors to the notification LED (for missed call, sms, gmail etc) in the future updates, because using third party applications to get the LED to indicate in different colors really drains some extra battery.

And there should also be an option in the "add applications" list of stamina mode to keep the notification LED on.

well this might be a bit late but it happens the same to me with the latest firmware 4.3 .266 compilation.

Setting a personal color in different apps such as blue, for example, in whatsapp for the led notification bar doesnt work. It always blinks in white when it's suspended with the screen off -if it really blinks, cause not always. But its curious cause, sometimes when I awake the phone the light turns to the corresponding color..

Any solution?

I must add that is quite sad that the most personal feature of this phone is not working properly.

Does KITKAT also has this "feature"?
