Hi

try this

Settings->Apps->(the app you want to activate the notification counter) -->Check the small box *Show notifictions* if it was unchecked.

if it was checked already then search in the setting of the app it self !

Hi again, usually these apps you mentioned shows notification automatically ,blocking the notifications can only be done by the settings or from inside the app it self , or maybe there is an error or some app like task killer preventing the apps from showing notifications !

No buddy, i guess i am not able to describe my query in lucid manner

I am getting all whatsapp notification, but i am looking for notification counter number- like what we are getting on the native apps - unread count number (In message app, facebook app etc. the yellow number count which depicts unread messages)

It looks like Sony doesnt have the option in their mobiles

Thanks

Unfortunatley functions like this are down to the application developer and as such you would be best to speak with them regarding adding this function to their application.

As what Sam said it is not related to Xperia. Whatsapp and others you mentioned doesn't show unread count on other launchers or on other phones either.
