My new xperia S is not supporting music playback through aux or usb cable from my car's music system. All other phones support that. the usb cable is from sony still its not supporting. What should i do?
Xperia S uses MTP mode for USB connection and the reason why is doesn't work is most likely because your car audio system doesn't support MTP devices. My best tip is that you check if your can use a 3,5mm audio cable instead, to listen to your phone music in your car audio system.
Hi, I'm having the same problem and it's with a SONY car stereo that we purchased yesterday. Not the first time I've had compatibility problems between Sony products - had issues with a Sony mp3 player and Vaio laptop a few years ago. It's a bit ridiculous, to say the least! I will try to get my hands on an aux cable and see if that works.
Just an FYI that should be passed on to your product managers!
Many thanks.
USB wont work. You need to use 3.5mm cable for connecting your phone with aux input of your car stereo. Then play music on ur phone. It will play thru ur car speakers.
USB port in car stereo systems are only for detecting flash sticks. It wont even detect your portable hard disk.
thanks!
Some phones support USB mode, I believe the Galaxy does, my old Nokia N900 was USB compatible with all USB stereos, USB can be implemented on these phones, as there's an app that allows it on rooted phones.
really....please tell us the name of the app
so when i install this app on my phone....and connect the phone to my caar stereo system....it will detect all audio files from my phone & play it....just like connecting a USB pen drive?
I assume so yes, that's how it works with normal UMS connections, give it a try if you have a rooted phone.
