Not charging via wallplug

Hello.
My Xperia z2 will not charge when the USB cable is connected to the power plug. Ive tried multiple combinations using different wall sockets, different plugs, and different wires and it's the same. The only time it will charge is if it's either plugged in using the USB port on a cigarette lighter in my car, or, on one of my wall sockets I have a USB port on the wall socket and it will charge on there.

It's nothing to do with the wire or the plugs because all other phones in my home will.charge in any combination using the same wall socket, plug, and wire.

I'm baffled. Can anyone help?

You should try to contact Sony Xperia support.

Based on recent reports, our phones aren't water proof.

I put my phone in water to take some pictures, the same day, my phone stopped working. After a couple of weeks of it being in a sock drawer, it started working again.
It seems that indeed it's a hardware issue

Sony advise not too "use" the phone under water. They say that the only test that is done is it get put in water of 1.5m for 30 minutes in standby and taken out and tested. They have openly said that they don't test the phone under water. Dissapointing really.

@K-Linerz

You are taking that out of context, to start, you have an Xperia Z2 not a Z3+/Z4 nor a Z5 series, second, you should really read it again, your phone its indeed waterproof as long as you check the covers and don't use it deeper than the indicated dept, etc.

Back to the topic, your phone has a hardware issue, since you were not careful with it, I'm sorry to say this but no one on this forum can help you, you need to contact your local Xperia Care and request a vacuum test.
