I got my sola just 2 weeks back...I am facing below issues...
1. When an incoming call comes while listening to music not able to recieve the call at all... The phone will not play the ringtone and also the ringtone cannot be heard in the headset... the phone just vibrates... even if i remove the headset and try to listen no luck... The phone should be restarted to make a call.
2. Some time i will be able to recieve but both music and call both work. Later i should manually stop the music.
3. When the phone is in the pocket and if i recieve the incoming call through the headset mobile automatically unlocks and it will open all applications (alarm,settings,browser,camera etc) and with in few seconds the call gets disconnected. i need take out the phone stop all the application and then make a call.
I have reinstalled the OS twice through sony service center but no use...

I just spoke to sony service center and he told me that he will send the phone for replacement. But i am afraid to give the phone for replacement after reading Arshad comments.
As he got his phone replaced only with internal parts and not the complete new phone...
Any one please suggest me what to do...?
I would suggest you to do as per the service center advice. Get the work order no..wait until you receive the handset back..compare with the imei no. I am sure it will take 3 -5 days for getting a replacement.between when and where did you purchase the sola?
I believe there is some network based problems in certain batch of sola's??
PS: I have given my sola for replacement..i was promised wednesday return.. if you can wait for couple of days more..i will let you know if they have replced the parts or changed the handset..
I bought it on 27/05/2012 from sangeetha mobiles Bangalore.
I think once they replace the hardware inside the phone, the IMEI number also changes.

And also let me know what issue you faced and why they want to replace it.
I was having most of the problems that are mentioned here in this forum like gps, unresponsive reception/hanging while listening to music(with/without headphones). GPS locking problems. Since this was my 1st Android device...i was not bothered about these problems and it was not affecting much..I normally turn off unwanted features to save battery and when the Auto turn option was enabled..i was not able to message properly on the last row(left side of the screen) . I googled and found the settings for internal test code(*#...) and the whole left side was like Dead.. I updated to latest version via PC comapanion. and even then also it was not responsive. The service center guys updated the firmware and promised me a replacement.
PS: I bought HTC One V and got it replaced for this by paying 2000 bucks xtra..

You paid extra 2000 in exchange to Xperia Sola??. Xperia sola is 2000 bucks costlier than HTC One V right?
I suggest that you take it/send it to the repair center. Contact your local support for more info.

returned HTC and bought Sola.
I just had an interesting conversation with technical support guys now. They are infoming me that as per my work order SE312MC112288, my handset is being repaired(swapped as per them) and the motherboard is being changed?? I was promised a replacement..
i just came back from the service center. The IMEI no has been changed and looks like the handset has been repaced. I tested the handset in the service center for an hour. Got their wifi password and checked the features. Gps seems to get locked through google maps. However, when we do the sony test..it's taking long time and never got locked. Touch is good and responsive.. Camera..when we take a close shot before capturing..i can see the grains.. when i asked the Engineer he said it's the pixel distribution and we can't do anything about that and all the models has it..I tried a couple of shots and can see ok. The touch edges were the major problem for me and it is working as of now. had a couple of calls for 10 minutes as soon as i inserted the sim. When we use the edge/wifi/3g processor seems to be heating. Again the engineer said it's same for all the models..
I am fearing after sometime it will return to the original condition. I am yet to test the phone completly.. It's getting charged now. Everything looks good as of now and i pray it will remain the same
i thank the Sony support forum here for thier support and wish all others would receive the same service like mine..
