not able to get 3g on neo v, does neo v support 3g 20121004

HI, I have xperia neo V and using straight talk but i am getting only edge and not 3g services, i have done all the setting that needed but still not getting 3g on my phone. I used my SIM card in other phone (google nexes) and I am able to connect to 3G. By this there is no issues with service provider.

I also used the APP Twekker APN Seetings Beta but with no luck.

Could someone help me with this or at least let me know if at all NEO V supports 3G.

Apart from the above issue can some one help me on how i can uninstall ICS 4 and get back to GingerBread 2.3.4.

Thanks in Advance.

Irfan

which version do you have the "i" or "a" ? go to settings > about phone > phone name

to downgrade you have 2 options

1) take it to a sony repair center

or

2) use flashtool (Free) or Wotanserver $

What?? Why is that difference, and why is this information not provided in the specfications.

This is totally unacceptable. DO SONY manufacture mobiles as per the carriers?

mobiles should at least support the networks of all serivce providers if not at least the details should be provided in the specfications it self.

Any how i have purchased a unlocked phone and it expect it works with all the service providers.

is there any other way i can get 3G services using the same SIM.

Any how now I will stop thinking of buying a sony phone for my next purchase.

Thanks for providing the informaion.

Request SONY to build phones which works with all services providers or at least provide informatoin that their phones futures works with which service providers.

Any how thanks once again.

what do you mean Sony wasn't specific? did you checked the box and/or if you bought it online did you checked the 3G frequencies?

Xperia Neo V

MT11i               HSDPA 900 / 2100

MT11a               HSDPA 850 / 1900 / 2100   (AT&T 850, 1900)

I have AT&T and one of the things they tell you is that if you don't buy a phone from them it might not work with their network, this is an example, where did you purchased this phone?

the Xperia S (LT26i) works with Tmobile and AT&T, you can't buy a phone w/o checking if it'll work with your network, the "i" variant is the "international" version as most countries in the world work with such frequencies, the "a" variant is the "american" variant as the US and Canada use this frequencies and few other latin countries as well as the "i" variant.

HSDPA 850 / 900 / 1900 / 2100
