Similar thing happened to me. Don't expect much of sony after purchasing your device.
My Z5 won't connect to wifi and when i sent it for repair here in The UK, they said the screen is damaged (though the screen is working just fine and no cracks, nothing, brand new), so they refused to repair it saying that if your screen is damaged, your warranty doesn't cover the repair. I asked them what does the wifi have to do with the screen?! And they repeated the same lame excuse.
So, yeah, try to sell yours and buy Iphone or Samsung, at least they have different physical branches and repair shops around.
