No Status Update Icon in Xperia Z Facebook

To someone can help,

I recently saw my fren's phone ( Samsung, Iphone & HTC ) in their phone under Facebook app, they got status update icons which we can post it with our status.....when I look at mine, I got nothing...No Icon in it...it just icon 'add frens' 'Location' & 'Camera to upload photos'....there is no smiley icon.....why? On latest Facebook Version 3.7, they said there is a new adding whichi is the 'Status Update Icons'.

Please advise. Thank you!

That's up to facebook to add this not Sony, double check if you indeed have the latest update.

I already installed the latest version of it v3.7 from Play Store...how come others phones (mentioned above) have it but not Sony? Even my fren's Xperia Acro S don't have the Status Update Icon....

When I tap on Status I see 

Add friends, location, photo, icons

I'm not aware of this issue since I haven't use the Facebook app like a looooooong time. Because it hogs my memory ram.

But maybe try to double check the "Icon" around the status box? 

So I rather use the stock browser (Chrome) or any other mobile browsers (Dolphin/Firefox/etc) to logon FB. And through the mobile browsers (you don't really need to update anything and less buggy) , the status update icon feature is always there!

You can always make a shortcut from your bookmarked website and drag it to your homescreen for easy access.

Sorry if I'm unable to give you an answer, but just trying to help you out by giving you another option

For more information about this you would need to contact Facebook support but from what i've been able to find searching Facebook help center it has to do with your account and where you live. It's not something that has to do with your phone.

I have an idea, settings > apps > all > facebook > uninstall updates > reupdate the app, if that doesn't work, follow Rickard's suggestion

How come you can get the icon? Do you use Facebook App or browser? If browser, yes i have the icon...

Facebook app, its probably a regional issue with your facebook app. Contact Facebook
