No sound????

My phone has now lost sound, I can't hear the person when I answer unless I go on answer phone (which I refuse to do in public) or have in headphones, and I can't play music/games/message/ringtones unless I have in headphones. I switched my phone off and it sorted it out but now it's just lost sound again.
Anyone else have this problem or know how to solve it?

Double check if there's something in the 3.5 mm jack, it could be dust

Either this,or try to plug/unplug the headset during a call or while listening to music.

I have check the 3.5mm jack and it's clear, I have tried to plug in earphone while listening to music and it plays through the earphone but not the speaker when I unplug the earphones. I have to switch the phone off and on again to get sound and after a while it stops playing sound out of the speaker

sent the phone in on warranty, if its ran out, try your customer rights, say something should last for 5 years, which is an acceptable amount of time, you will find the phone number here :

I have so many problems with this phone, I would send it off but I need my phone for work. I'm probably going to get a galaxy s5 in a few weeks and then I will send it off

From yesterday I am facing headphone problem, when I connected my any headphone it plays music in it, when I plugged out it and again plugged in the sound comes only in mobile speaker but not in headphone, I have to restart my phone to get sound in headphone.
Only one time headphone plays sound and each time I have to restart my phone to get sound in it after plugged out.
Any solution?????

I am having the same problem myself, and it seems to me that it's a bug within the latest 4.4 update. I know for a fact that it's a bug because when i press vol up/down button on home screen i can hear the "beep" sound comming from the speaker. Also when i go to volume settings and change volume for the incoming call i can hear the sound. When i play music in walkman i can't hear anything, as if the phone thinks that the headphones are connected. I flashed andorid 4.2, checked the sound and it's working normaly. I updated with PC companion and the problem appeared again. So i reset the phone to factory settings, and tried using the repair function in PC Companion, but no effect. I even tried flashing to 4.2 again and doing the OTA update, and still nothing. So i'm going back to 4.2 untill this is resolved.
