NO SOUND FOR MESSAGES IN ICS!!!.....(not solved yet ,its been 4 months)

Hey ,i have a problem after upgrading to ICS,after some time i get no sound for notifications,after restart i get sound for notifications.that is so annoying for me.. i have repaired it using pcc..but the problem is still there

I have done everything from resetting factory settings to repair using SUS..and i have not installed any applications..

There are so many people having this problem...

SONY plz take this issue seriously and respond

Try settings first. If that doesn't work, backup using adb and factory reset.

same thing happened to me today. i flashed the french ics. rebooted and it's fine. ive had the french ics on there since friday and i think today was the first time it happened. i have illumination bar installed aswell, that's how i knew because the bar lit up but there was no sound.

still geting sound problems happened again today, worked fine for a few hours then no sound for txt and email notifications. googled it and it seems to be an ics bug as there were alot of people getting same problem on differn't makes and models of phones.

read on another forum to try setting custom notification sounds ( downloaded ones ) and this works aparantly. trying it out now.

just a quick update. i added some downloaed notifications onto the phone and touch wood it's done the trick, no sound loss for nearly 24 hours.
