Its has been MONTHS and still no solutions for GB issues such as
1. Unnecessary re-statrs
2. Signal DROPS
3. Touch screen issue ( As found in many topics)
4. Call answer latency ( about 2 seconds delay after answering to here voice)

Devices which haven't recieved ICS; will they get ICS later or ever

Ofcourse, everyone gets ICS sooner or later, just depends how soon on where you live and your carier.
And about those issues you have, most people report them after upgrading to ICS, GB is pretty much perfect for everyone. I suggest you take your phone to a service center.
I believe that sony will no longer support GB as ics is out

I know you hope for a better answer, but I don't have any information regarding new updates. All info is found on our product blog.
Yes Sony Blog says a new update for Xperia U. Even if the post is old we have to wait. Sorry its not GB.
What I meant is that you will no longer support Gb as ICS is out all the new updates will be for ICS and not GB
