No notification for update??!?!?!

It's been a long time since the ICS update for Xpeia Sola was out, yet i get no notification for updating. I have tried to update by connecting to both pc companion and sony online update service but they both say that "phone is up-to-date". My build number is even old "6.0.B.3.184" but the one stated on the sony's update site is "6.1.1.B.1.54" and instead of the ICS android version which is 4.0. something, mine is 2.3.7. Please tell me why i don't get any notification for ICS update? Is it due to my phone's region? If it is then please tell me how can i know what is my phone's region?

Additional info: my phone model according to the "about phone" menu is MT27i but sony companion shows it as MT27..... is it a problem?

Xperia sola's running on GB won't receive any notification in the phone about the ICS update. You can only get this connecting the phone via USB to PC Companion. And if PCC tells you that you have the latest the ICS is not yet released for your device.

Thanks for replying.....by the way ICS for Xperia Sola has been released, i have read about it all over the internet and so how can i get it? is it that it still hasn't been released in my phone's region? and how can i know my phone's region? Thanks
