No Data Service

I bought a new Neo V and i allow the phone to discharge. i charged the phone and then try to put it back on. the phone is telling me there is no data service and it immediately cuts off. what do i do?? Can anyone help me???

Can you please provide more details by Data service are you referring to 3G data? If data has been turned off restarting the device will show a message stating that the Data Service is not turned on.

To turn on Data please do the following,

Menu > Settings > Wireless & Networks > Mobile Networks > Tick Data Enabled

I am unable to restart the phone, every time i try the screen will say no data traffic service is disable and the phone will immediately shut off..

I see, I suggest you perform a software repair on the handset using the Update Service software as this seems to be related to software corruption.

Okay so i download the software to my PC that was successful, but to connect the phone to the PC, the PC is saying the the device is malfunctioned and windows does not recognize it.

The step where it states to connect to the phone, i took the battery out to power down then put it back in then press the back button then connect to the PC and still nothing happened.

Anymore advice??

Hi Jake,

I'm from Philippines and upgraded to ICS. There'a problem in network signal after the update. It usually drops the signal and I neither receive nor send text messages. I called my network provider and they told me that their signal is working fine. Also, when I transfer my simcard to other phone, the signal strength is good. Why is that?

Do you have the correct APN settings? How old is your SIM card?

Upon checking in APN settings, there's no APN available to phone. The option I've chose was "reset to default APN" and with age of my sim card, its already 9yrs of age.

the problem could be the SIM card, 9years that's quite a relic you should get a new one, that might solve the issue.

But when I transfer my sim card to other phone everything is working fine. Yeah, its a relic and don't want to change my mobile number.
