I have a question for Sony. Will the ion be supported with full nfc implementation? Meaning, I see on at&t the Xperia TL is on the Isis list, but not the ION....I crave an nfc digital wallet...will the ION fill this role when the services become available? thanks.

not Google wallet, but MasterCard paypass, and the immanent Isis wallet from at&t and verison. ...no mention of the almost identically hardwared ION.

oh I see, that's up to AT&T to implement on their Ion's variant not Sony nor Google.

at&t blocks Google wallet, and doesn't have the ion listed as a compatible phone (yet?)...but I noticed on the firmware fire the lt30p there is a specific option for nfc wallets...I wonder, will the ion get this in the next update?

yeah it's sad that we don't get google wallet, but I doubt at&t will add this features to older phones, even if the Ion is not that old. have you contacted AT&T?

nope....who would I talk too? the people that make minimum wage answering technical questions..or the ones that answer billing problems? neither have the answer...but they throw two year commitments around like toys....still, I want to know that it is possible for it to work...

lol, indeed, ususally if you call AT&T you have to deal with a lot of ..... morons and waste time asking to talk to a supervisor of a supervisor of a supervisor, my suggestion is to try to sideload the apk and see if it works, I have the TL but I flashed the Xperia T firmware soon after (as soon as I finished downloading the ftf) I hate AT&T's bloatware. I'll see if I can find the apk or look in my backup att's ftf

I have the ION, my girlfriend just got the TL, and like you I removed the att firmware almost immediately...I'm not worried about the TL having a digital wallet, according to the various websites, it will when the services are actually implemented.....it's the ION I am worried about.....but,I think Google is going to pull off a coup (just a theory) and release the next version of Google wallet....hopefully soon.

I hope so too, I made a mistake few months ago, I got couple great deals (google wallet) before I realized I can't use them until this is available on other phones
