NFC problem

hi SONY, i tried to beam my xperia S to samsung galaxy S3 through NFC to send picture..... although touch to beam animation will appear when phones back to back touched, but after i touch to beam, nothing happen,,,,, can i know how to solve this problem? is NFC only available for SONY TO SONY?

Worst camera app it was way better in ics no Pause button for video recording, camera app compressing images upto 20 percent in ics it was mostly around 7 percent, most of the panaromic images are out of focus, top down panaroma capture stopped working and always exit app so fast, normal images are blurry and noisy with lots of quality loss which totally ruined a 12mp camera, full HD recording lag

HELLO JOHAN, SONY is well known for its camera clarity.

and now in jelly bean update for xperia s (including .200 and .211) have the worst camera xperience.

The wierd PURPLE TINT in this update is very dissappointing. And the 1080 hd video recording is very bad.

we are facing these problems as mentioned:

*1. PURPLE coloured pictures captured when captured with flash.

*2.1080 HD video recording has very less fps, which has a bad video recording (not expected this from sony).

*3.2G net is very very slow.

*4.WIFI connectivity is very laggy.

*5.Handset is overheating very quickly.

*6.battey is draining very fast.

****7.Did you notice, there is no more 3d camera and 3d album.

We hope that you will take care of all these MAJOR BUGS AS MENTIONED and fix them in this upcoming update very soon.

Hope that they also correct the issue where "Keyboard and Input" defaults back to Xperia keyboard from 3:d party keyboard i.e Swiftkey when restarting the phone....

I am experiencing the same thing. when it gives the chance to Beam through NFC it redirects me to playstore and to a "aplication not found" page of google play store.

Also, hope u could help me with this: I'm from Portugal, and I noticed some portuguese people got JB notification on their Xperia S and mine doesn't receive any notification about an update since the new firmware came out. I wonder if this is normal or if my phone have some issues looking for software updates?? Please help me, I'm worried cause the JB update just got out for about 19 days so...

Main issues        :

1. Full HD (1080p) video recording very lags.

2. Volume up key stop working sometimes.

3. Photoshot results a bit purple when camera flashlights on.

4. Battery drains much too fast than previously on ICS.

I have a problem with vietnamese keyboard, the simple not seems to dislay correctly, please fix it, it's very important. I don't know it is the firmware or the app issue but when I use facebook messenger app, in chat head every simple went wrong, just a square instead of the correct simple. many bugs for me

Hi Johan,

I'm from India. After JB update the camera and video recording becomes laggy, lots of noise in camera, games are lagging (I think its running in low fps than ISC, tested with Temple Run 2), battery is draining too fast, 2G data speed is decreased, 3D sweep panorama mode is disappeared  from camera. We badly needed a restart option,auto brightness control, face tagging/auto face detect option in album and wifi direct in JB update, but disappointed. Back, Home and Option key have to be more sensitive. Please add those option in next update. Those features will complete our Xperia S.

i noticed with .200 JB

1080P lags and slowdowns during capture

the phone become very hot when using 2G

the battery life is not better than ICS
