NFC not working

hello .. i really love this phone but when i first tried my NFC with another phone ( samsung galaxy note 2 jellybean ) it never worked though i followed the steps but the phone didn't vibrate ..so does NFC work for xperia devices only ..or for ICS only ?? please help

NFC works with other brands as well but some phones may not support all features.

First check that NFC is enabled in both phone and that the screen is on when you hold them together. If you want to send a picture to the other phone you need to open that first in your phone.

Regarding the problem you're having with your other phone i searched the web a bit and it seems you're not alone. Seems others are having problems with this as well and it's also with other phones like nexus.

One suggestion i found was to turn off something called S Beam in the note 2.

tried turning off the S Beam but still nothing happened ..the samsung note 2 is not the phone that needs the improvment its the xperia sl ..please upgrade the NFC in the next updates
