Hello
I recently got my Xperia SL's motherboard replaced from the Sony service center.
However, when I tried to switch on NFC yesterday, the check sign came on for a second and then turned off, and no matter how much I try, it does not switch on permanently.
I also tried repairing the phone through PC Companion but no luck as yet. Any help please?
Try Settings then just under Data usage tap on more then tap the box to tick NFC
Hi Thommo
That is the issue !! When I click on the NFC check box, it shows "ticked" for a second or two and then becomes "unticked" . This was not the case before I got the motherboard changed.
I see, I thought you were talking about the tools widget - If it's still not working then this is because it can't turn on something that isn't there - I'm guessing based on experience with Pc's and Laptops that they forgot to reconnect the NFC antenna or the NFC antenna became disconnected during re-assembly hence why it won't turn on,
The below image should explain what I mean - where my crude red arrow is pointing to is the NFC connection cable - If this is damaged or wasn't connected then this is probably the reason for the issue you are having - You can either disassemble yourself and check the cable connection or take it back to the service center and get them to connect it properly
Ah bummer !!
I should have seen that coming, since they forgot to connect my notification light too.
Thanks Thommo :smileysmileythumbsup: . I'll check this with the service center on tuesday and get back to you
