NFC does not recognize TAG

?NFC does not recognize or even see nxp ntag 203. Samsung s4mini does. What is the problem with Sony z3 compact?

I remember few discussions about tags compatibility. You might need to dig deep in Z2 Tablet forum. There was at least one thread but AFAIR it end up at XDA forum.

Do you get the "NFC Read Error. Try Again." message when you hold up the tag to the handset?

No... I have no message at all, also no notification sounds

What happens if you hold the phone to another NFC capable device? Does it recognise any NFC at all?

It did work with NFC devices and tags. About 2-3 month ago. But not any longer... Android problem? When comes 6.0 update. Will this help?

I would repair the phone with PCC and check again

Here's how to run the repair on PC Companion:

1. Install and open PC Companion then select Support Zone.
2. Phone Software Update.
3. Start.
4. Repair Phone
5. Continue
6. Accept data removal
7. Next
8. Wait for prepare
9. Select Phone
10. Follow the connection steps

And Bridge for Mac:

1. Launch Bridge for MAC without the handset connected.
2. On the Main Window select "Xperia > Repair Xperia Device".
3. Ensure the phone is charged and select "Ok" in the following window.
4. Select Continue on the following page.
5. Wait until the initialising step is finished the continue as below.

6 . Select your model of phone from the list that appears

7. Follow the connection steps that appear, ensuring that you are holding the relevant button down before during and after the connection phase until the update/repair begins.

You will want to start these processes with the phone powered off and disconnected from the PC.
