Hey everyone,
I just recently purchased a Z1 Compact and have a few questions about some issues for other owners of the Z1 Compact.
1. If you have your headphones plugged in listening to music and your phone is on silent mode, does your phone still send notifications through the headphones and interupt the music? If it does, is there any way to disable all sound notifications through headphones while in silent mode?
2. On my transit to work this morning I was listening to music and it was working perfectly. I didn't unplug my headphones when I got to work and left them in. When I went to use my phone to listen to music 45 minutes later I was only getting music out of the right earbud. I have read on the Z1 forums about a piece of lint or dust getting into the headphone jack and using a toothpick to remove it. It just seems wierd how if I didn't remove my headphones from the jack that something would get in there and interupt the connection. Anyone else experience this issue? Ignore this one. I guess it was my headset that decided to die... that timing and what a coincidence that it was my left ear bud that died. But here is the link to the Z1 forums in regards to left ear phone losing connection. http://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/Xperia-Z1-Z1s/Left-earplug-wont-play-music/m-p/402779/highlight/true#M...
3. When you tap the top of your phone near the camera or headphone jack with your finger does it sound like something is loose? Mine does and i'm not sure if it is supposed to. I have tried to hold all external buttons (charging cover, volume rocker, camera button) but still getting the sound.
If anyone has answers to these questions feel free to post!
Cheers
No. 3 - The headphone socket because it's a waterproof phone then the socket works on contact pins not an actual ribbon cable like previous models or other phones - So when tapping the top it may give a feeling of something been loose due to these contact pins
Thanks for the reply Thommo.
In response to that I just tried applying a bit of pressure onto the camera while tapping. The 'loose' sound goes away when I apply pressure there. I tried the same thing on the headphone jack side of the phone but still got the 'loose' sound.
1. Yes this is normal and at this stage I am unaware of any way around it sorry.
3. I have not been able to replicate that myself, however if you are concerned that ou may have a faulty device you are welcome to contact your local Xperia Care team so that they may assist in arranging an assessment of your handset through an authorised repair agent.

For me 1.) is a big problem. I use a relativelly new messenger app that always stops my music when I get a notification. And not even muting notifications can solve this when listening with my headphones.
I mute it because I dont want notifications and what do I get?! NOTIFICATIONS! WHY?!
Is it planned to be fixed?
Sorry , accidentally i pressed the "me too" button .... Sory again
Byt my problem is with the music player sound, noice in the camera at low light picture and notification LED indicator. Notification LED is failed to create white light, though all lights are working fine.
