For the record, I'm from Toronto Canada and just picked up an an Xperia Ultra to replace my Galaxy S4. The model number is C6833 - which as I understood ehrn placing my order, was that it was fully 4G/LTE compatible and would work with any carrier that offered the service.
The trouble is, this phone seems to be stuck in either H+ or 3G. Regardless of where I am, it never goes beyond 3G.
My carrier is Rogers Canada, and my Galaxy S4 clearly displays "LTE" on the upper right side of the corner just about everywhere I go with the exception of the occasional drop to 4G when I'm underground...
I made sure I coppied the APN settings of my Galaxy 4S to transfer over to the ULTRA, but no dice. I wont get any data connection at all.
So I entered older APN settings from a previos phone which have finally enabled a data connection, but as mentioned earlier, only 3G.
In fact, within the settings of the phone itself, there is no LTE at all as an option under "preffered network mode".
So it's now set to 4G (prefered) WCDMA/GSM - not that it matters, sine I never see 4G either.
Internet speeds are SLOOOOW.......
Switching the sim back to my S4 and it's back to LTE right at start-up.
Is there something I'm doing wrong here?
Oh, and when I try to download the "internet and MMS" settings through the phone, while it does bring up Rogers (andf Telus) as an option, when I select Rogers it always says "could not download, tap here to try again"
I'd hat to have to return the phone but if I'm stuck using 5 year old iternet speeds, this phone is useless to me.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
This sounds rather strange that you're able to get LTE covrage on your S4 but not on your Xperia Z Ultra using the same SIM and APN settings.
What you can try to do for troubleshooting is to try another 4G enabled SIM card in the phone and if you still won't get any LTE coverage run a software reinstall using SUS.

Let us know if it still won't work.
Actually checked everything out and I'm good on Rogers LTE. Because the C6833 is the international version Rogers LTE show as 4g on mobile indicator. I checked the mobile service provider and indicates on 4g network plus I inputted *#*#4636#*#* and verified on Rogers LTE network. Then I did a speed test and receiving great speeds when coverage is good. over 70 mbps DL.
