New owner has a few questions/issues

Coming from an iPhone 4s, a few days ago I bought the Sony Xperia Z1 Compact and I am very happy with it. I regret that I didn't buy it earlier.
After using it a few days however, I have a few question/issues about it and hope that you can help me with it.

1) Apparently I cannot clear the cached data on it. When I go to Settings > Storage > Cached data and click on "Clear cached data > OK", nothing happens as far as I can see. It doesn't go to 0 and there always stays some MB's, at the moment for instance 2.41MB. Is that normal ?

2) According to the manual there should be a GPS icon when GPS is used. However I only see a icon for Location and not GPS. Is that also normal ?

3) When I connect the magnetic charging cable I always get a popup asking me if I will use Daydream or my alarm app. Is there a way to skip this popup window ? I did not set anything in Smart Connect yet.

Yes that's normal - Some cache data will remain as you will have apps still running and in order to fully remove that cache data you would need to close every app down but 2MB is absolutely normal - You could look for Cache cleaning apps - I use 1Tap Cleaner others use Clean Master but the same MB will remain - Those cleaners will also remove in one go Internet recent history etc

Haven't tried the "magnetic charging cable", so I don't have the answer.

Location is GPS, AFAIK.

The location icon is the new GPS icon so yes that's normal
