New firmware (10.1.1.A.1.253)

Hi Sony Team,

Just updated with the latet firmware. Noticed that these are the changes in this new firmware.

a) white balance

b) soft keys and nav bar changed to black

c) an option to disable the notification light

d) updating NFC

But beside these new updates. What are the other update in this firmware and how to get best picture with the white balance control under Display setting.

By the way, I have a problem with the soft keys and nar bar still appearing at the Lock Screen. Eventhough I have tried to fix this problem with PC companion but the problem still coming back after few days. Will you guys be solving this problem any soonest?

Thank you.

Regard

This is truly simple. There is no excuse to not make available a simple update to everybody in the world in a normal amount of time. This is not normal.I have been a Sony user in everything, just because it´s my brand of choice and i am happy with almost everything, but the upgrades for their mobile phones. It´s always the same. The Xperia S was the same.Even tough it´s a global roll-out it´s taking too long. And what´s worst,it´s that is not my providers fault how it usually is.It´s the brand.

And just to clarify:Xperia Z is the best phone i´ve ever had.But i don´t work for Sony,i am a costumer.

I really can´t suggest a better way to roll-out the update quicker.But that´s not my job,it´s theirs.

Thank you.

Hear hear!

Pathetic display, & it is actually discrimination. I don't care if it's a global rollout & it will be gradual - it's simple enough to release to EVERYBODY at the SAME TIME. Not to a select few first, then leave majority of xperia z users (UK & Germany) to rot for weeks, even months!

they got our money so why do they care again.... this is jus total bull

They won't be getting for me again in the future, & I am sure this has probably swayed a lot of users away from Sony too.

We generally accept that branded handsets take longer to receive updates than non-branded.

That's the reason many of us buy unbranded in the first place.

Can anyone remember when O2 handsets received a manufacturer update before unbranded?

Oh, wait....hmm.

(P.S. bloody well fix Socialife's inability to auto-refresh).

James if I had the will and the time I'd be willing to explain in great detail what's involved in Major Global Software Deployment especially the challenges faced in the Mobile Market

Perhaps when you've finishes ranting here you will take a little time and educate yourself - your naivety and lack of understanding is astounding

I'm not sure what you are trying to accomplish on this forum with you constant repetitive drivel but I do know that it is not going to get your phone updated any faster now or in the future

So try and be patient it will happen when it happens

I appreciate what you're saying, but I too can argue the fact that they're not delivering 100%. Theres not a reason I can see to leave out half of the users to wait. I am in my right to voice my opinions, if Sony doesn't like it then act on it, fast. Also, if you agree with them, then I can only assume you are a Sony empoyee - why else would you be so defensive & calm about the situation?

You clearly had no patience either if you went to update yourself right? Some of us paid a lot of money for unbranded handsets to gain benefits of faster updates, yet branded users get it first, in my own same country.

PLEASE explain the logic to me? It's clearly not the operators holding it back, it is Sony as far as I can see

I did the update my self because I could and it's no big deal to me, equally I'm not trying to encourage anyone to take that path

This conversation is pointless - like I said above you will get the update when it's your turn, a mass update is not logistically possible which is why it is rolled out - branded devices get the updates from the same servers as non branded

You are in line and that is that

'branded devices get the updates from the same servers as non branded' - then why havent both branded & unbranded got it at the same time hmm?

I like that you didn't even deny the fact you are a Sony emploee, hence why you are probably in the minority of telling others to just wait, for the simple fact that you know it's not going to come out anytime soon.

I was not being personal before you decided to direct at me, just for voicing my opinion on a forum.Free country they say...
