New firmware (10.1.1.A.1.253)

Hi Sony Team,

Just updated with the latet firmware. Noticed that these are the changes in this new firmware.

a) white balance

b) soft keys and nav bar changed to black

c) an option to disable the notification light

d) updating NFC

But beside these new updates. What are the other update in this firmware and how to get best picture with the white balance control under Display setting.

By the way, I have a problem with the soft keys and nar bar still appearing at the Lock Screen. Eventhough I have tried to fix this problem with PC companion but the problem still coming back after few days. Will you guys be solving this problem any soonest?

So for me it was only yesterday the update whether it is good or not? hmm ..

Today was the first time the battery has gone completely blank.

Charger connected. Then after an hour or so times it looked because I wanted to turn it on. Then UPS ... Display can be seen at a great triangle with wrench and screwdriver, a blue bar in the lower range.

Power does not exhibit either via button still on.

Of course, no idea if it is up to the update or no idea. Now I have to send in it once ....

Heute ist das erste mal der Akku komplett leer gegangen.

Ladegerät angesteckt. Dann nach einer Stunde oder so mal drauf geschaut weil ich es einschalten wollte. Dann UPS... Display ist an ein tolles Dreieck zu sehen mit Schraubenschlüssel und Schraubendreher, im unteren bereich ein blauer Balken.

Gerät lässt sich über Knopf nicht ausstellen weder noch an.

Natürlich keine Ahnung ob es nun an den Update liegt oder keine Ahnung. Nun muss ich es erst einmal einschicken....

SmartConnect doesn't work with Stamina Mode On even if white-listed. I use it during my daily routine to automatically turn sounds off/on when I go to work and when my working hours are done. Today I had to unlock the screen to make SmartConnect initialize its processes. Very bad.

Interesting.. Except LinkedIn haven't found any issues with any other app or widget so far. Yet to try SmartConnect after updating to New firmware. Will test this today.

Yes battery started loosing charge after update. I noticed this after the first firmware update too.

Solution- backup your apps and charge your phone to 100% then do a factory reset. Restore apps while charging. Once done, this should rectify faster charge loss.

Note : I experienced it and did as above now charge last longer. Also pls remember to turn off GPS when not required. GPS drains battery.

Hello, I have a Sony Xperia Z C6603 bought in the UK. The Even still this is not accusing this new update, in this case what should I do. She takes it out to everyone and it is possible that not all receive?

I am using Sony Bridge for mac and trying to update my xperia z since it keeps promting me but evertime it's "initializing" it stops and says "timed out waiting for engine to start." can someone help me and give a solution to this problem please! I really want to update!

I'm sorry you're not able to update your phone in Bridge.

Could you please provide me with more information like your current firmware, mac OSX version and bridge version.

Furthermore, if you could extract some error logs for me that would be very helpful.

Here is how to get error logs out of Bridge:

1. In BfM, hold the "alt" key down while selecting the "Phone" menu. Select "Clear logs" to remove all old logs and get a clean start

2. Reproduce the problem you're having, whether it's connecting the phone, importing photos, doing backup...

3. In BfM, hold the "alt" key down while selecting the "Phone" menu. Select "Export logs"

4. On the computers desktop there should now be a file named "SonyBridgeForMacLogs_[date].zip

5. PM that file to me or post the contents here

If there's anything else regarding Bridge that I can help you with please don't hesitate to ask.

Current Firmware: 10.1.A.1.434

Mac OSX Version: 10.8

Bridge Version: 3.2

There are no contents in the zip folder after i exported the log, i checked and exctracted the contents of the zip and both files were epmty. What i did notice though was after i cleared the log and reattempted to update, there was a small flash or notice on my screen but it did not stay long enough for me to read it, and then the error would return again telling me that the engine has timed out.
