New Camera App from Google available as .apk

Hi Guys,

New camera app extracted from Samsung google experience is available and seems to work good You could download it and install the .apk

http://www.droid-life.com/2013/06/27/download-new-stock-camera-app-from-google-play-edition-phones/

DOES NOT REQUIRE ROOTING. nor does it replace the stock camera app. Best part is it supports 13 MP and brings photosphere feature

Please update and post comments

Tried already... Guess that Jelly Bean Xperia's camera with advanced optics and HDR is better. Nice that You can make a photo with volume rocker, but only for LG's and samsung's when you don't have the physical shutter button like T, TX, S and V has. It's nice, can't tell, but I'm already used to camera app known from Xp Z phone... + much more options like panorama and smile detect... Anyway nice try, I'll tell about it to my friends with HTC's that have to use on-screen button Winking_Face

I agree whit you totally. But the photosphere is very nice, and only good.

13 mpx in 4:3 format is bullsh*t in a 16:9 screen.

I think it's rather smart than stupid... Cause it's not about compression and quality loose... If you look closely on dimensions with 4:3 and 16:9 You'll see it takes just some horizontal pixels from photo, so they don't change all the resolution, they just cut some on the top and bottom of the photo leaving you with full line of pixels from left to right... If you download a wallpaper for your PC.. that is bigger.. Is it better for you to cut some pixels leaving a good resolution, or change size, making the pixels bigger? You see... It's better to phisically cut some picture, than making a pixel degradation.

Thanks a lot for this information.

I just tried the app and the pictures keeps showing very noisy and low sharpened like always...

Sphere pictures are nice to see but they are in a very low quality.

Thanks anyways!!
