I have Sony ST21i. - single SIM
Intermittenly i'm not reachable. I see full range on the phone but if somebody calls me they get message that mobile is switched off or busy
Also many times it takes a lot time to get the ring i.e. when the caller calls there is silence for about 15-10 seconds for sometime then the phone rings
I have checked this issue with network provider. they say no issue with SIM. there testing shows all okay. still i replaced/changed my SIM card to check but no luck. then i approched sony service center. after a week they reseted the software and gave the phone back with try now but no luck.
the problem is I see full range so i assume. phone should be ok but somebody not able to reach me. After restarting the phone it works okay. (or atleast i need to register it manually on the Network -- Even if my search mode is to Select Auto)
But really didn't get when i need to restart.
I think the phone suddenly forgets it's primary function to keep checking the network or if it's not there (i think this won't be the case every time), it should correctly shows that it's not there.
I use my phone at GSM only network mode so don't think phone is getting confused between 2G or 3G.
can Sony please check these and let me know if release a patch to help the phone redect the network automatically. I have tried using my old mobile(moto), it doesn't give this problem using same SIM card.

I suggest that you try to run a software reinstall using SUS.

If the problem still remains you should contact your local support team, to have the phone examined and fixed at an repair center.

I use Xperia Miro and a have the same problem. I tried with brand new SIM and software reinstall using SUS but the problem still remains.
same prob. here with ST21i.
reseted software just few days back at sony service centre but prob. remains same.
SONY unable to solve the issue.
prob with handsfree too in ST21i. hear my own echo during call, sony centre person
told me that that is the prob with all xperia tipos.
SONY, please find some solution.
Same problem here, cannot be a coincidence, Sony Tipo owners expect a valid solution from Sony!
Me too have same problem. Phone is still under warrantee and been repaired 3 times in last 11 months - motherboard replacement, calibration and software update. I am sure Sony has no clue what is the problem. Currently waiting for a response from <Sonyindia.care@ap.sony.com> for a week.
If I do not get a solution, I am taking this up with consumer forum. If others want to join they are welcome.

Me too is facing the same Network Loss issue with t his hand set.It seems the Handset is suddenlt loosing the Network.
@Johan speak about our problem up!When somebody post something the aswer is 2 stupid link for any problem!I want to see how you fix this problem with that link!I''m very disapointing!We buy the phone to use not keep in service sony!
