Network problem in Xperia E dual sim.

Is their any way to solve the network problem in my new Xperia E dual sim?

Please do not mention that SUS/ PCC stuff. I've already tried that and they don't work.

Please also do mention anything about WCDMA or GSM. Even that has been tried and tested and even that doesn't work. I lost my network connectivity of the SIM 1 for hours due to this.

Also don't mention any software updates or software glitches. This is a new phone and it is already malfunctioning.

Please avoid any references to approach any Sony Service centre. The nearest one is miles away.

Genuine efforts to help will be immensely appreciated by this long-suffering fellow.

Kindly reply.

Should | set SIM 1 to WCDMA only or WCDMA (preferred)/GSM?

Change it to WCDMA,see how it goes.

I am very sorry to inform that this does not work.

Whenever I switch my SIM 1 to WCDMA from WCDMA (preferred)/GSM the SIM loses its network connectivity. It regains network connectivity only when it is switched back to WCDMA (preferred)/GSM.\

Please help. Is this network problem peculiar to Xperia E dual only?

Xperia E dual is a dual standby device, which means only one SIM is active at a time and only SIM 1 can be set on WCDMA.You should stop by a sony service.

Excuse me, SIr, but I think the problem is a bit different.

When my SIM1 was set at WCDMA (preferred)/GSM and the SIM 2 at GSM only, both showed full connectivity. But even then the phone was unreachable.

When I set my SIM 1 to WCDMA only it lost connectivity entirely.

The SIM 2 has always been on GSM only. Only SIM 1 has been set to WCDMA only.

Kindly help.

That could be related to the SIM.Did you try to change the SIMs?

There's nothing wrong with my SIMs. I've been using them for quite a long time now.

I even tried to check my SIMs by transferring them to another phone. They worked perfectly well there.

It's surely a problem of the phone.

Please suggest a remedy. Sorry for the all the trouble. But surely nobody expected this from a Sony phone.

Did you try a software repair until now?

What exactly is software repair? What would I have to do for this?

This is a newly bought phone. Howcome it needs a repair now itself

Please clarify.

It could be a software glitch,a software repair reinstalls the latest firmware and erases all memory.I am thinking you might have installed some apps that could be related. But you are not forced to try that, you could simply stop by a sony service.
