when ever I try to connect internet using my mobile data plan..I'm not able to connect .In order to connect i need to restart my mobile.should I always need to restart the mobile or is there any other solution.Is it a network related issue or mobile related issue??
Sounds strange. Remove your current APN settings under settings > more > mobile networks > access point name.
Then download new Internet settings from settings > Xperia > Internet settings.
He has the settings. His problem is i think that the settings are not getting saved. Or if they are getting saved then everytime he switches off data and switches it on again the phone is not recognising the settings. When he switches off and on again the phone auto downloads new settings, so it works.... firmware issue i think ..mate see if you hve the latest software on your phone if not download it and if yes then repair it using PC companion is wot i would suggest.
I am also facing same problem on my M-dual.
Sony should do something to solve this issue.
Still same problem. One work around I found as opposed to restarting the phone is to go to
Settings - > More -> Mobile Networks->SIM1
Change Network Mode from GSM to WCDMA or from WCDMA to GSM and after that the Mobile Data signal picks up. It seems this issues more prominent in Network areas where the coverage is weaker.
This issue is explained in this thread - http://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/Xperia-M-M-dual/mobile-data-connection-problem/m-p/429127
