Network connectivity with over heating

I just recently upgraded to 4.2.2 from 4.1.2. And activated 3g service . When I on the mobile data option then there is no problem. But when I turned off the data. It started to heating and battery drained so quickly. The most important thing  is that after this when I try to call some one, after few seconds it ended up with out any beep. After switch off and on it work fine again.

Any update on this?

It is very odd that it is getting hot when you are not using data, if anything it should be the other way around. Have you tried running a software repair to at least rule out a software problem.

Have done as you mentioned. but it did not fix the problem.

How can i downgrade my android version back to 4.1.2.? I think it may fix the problem. It is a  bug with 4.2.2

You can manually do it but you will void your warranty.

I suggest you that go to your nearest service center.
