I've been using the Nationwide banking app in the UK for a while now. I was originally using it on a Samsung S3 and the app was working fine. Since upgrading to a Z3 I've noticed several issues with the app.
The quick balance function just hangs, attempting to use the money transfer option crashes the app, and generally the UI is very unresponsive and laggy.
I contacted Nationwide and after confirming I had the latest version of the app, rebooted the phone, etc. all the usual things, they suggested it might be specific to the Z3 phone software. I updated to the latest Lollipop version yesterday but the problems still persist.
Has anyone else had the same issues? Any tips for me to debug the issue to find out where the problem lies?
Thanks - I didn't know there was a safe mode :smileyhappy:. Having just looked up how to enable it though, it appears to disable all 3rd party apps - does that include those installed from the Play store? If yes, then I won't be able to run the Nationwide app in safemode.
Contact the banking app developers, it's up to them to fix this compatibility issue.
Thanks for the tip - I've emailed the developer (Nationwide themselves) so we'll wait and see what response I get.
