Myself number displayed

I recently purchaced my Arc and asked the service provider to transfer my existing mobile number to the account, which they did. However the number displayed on the phone in both the contacts (myself)  and the phone settings/ about phone/ status still shows the phone original number.

How do i change this to the transfered number
