My Z3 is sending duplicate texts, how do I stop it

I have had my Z3 for 4 months now and I love it but it has 1 problem that I don't seem to be able to solve.

Sometimes it will send multiple duplicate copies of an SMS text. I mean 4 or 5 copies of the same message, usually straight after 1 another. However, yesterday, I restarted my phone, as GPS would not turn off, and then shortly after I got a text from a friend asking why I has sent her a message about the weather. I hadn't, it was an SMS from some 30 hours earlier, that she had received 4 times at the time I sent it and now again a day later??

How can I stop this from happening?

I suggest that you try to repair the phone software using PC Companion..

Before repairing your device you may want to backup your information first. Check out this topic for more information on how to.

If the issue should still remain I think that this needs to be examined and fixed at a repair center. For more information about how to submit your phone for repair and where, contact your local support team.

My z3 compact is doing the same thing, and this hasn't fixed it

Wipe clean the sim card and give the slot a little blow.
