my Xperia z2 not charging

I bought my Sony xperia Z2 yesterday, and when I unboxed it and try to charge the phone; nothing happened. I mean it is like a dead phone, I cannot turn it on and when I try to charge the phone it does not even show any kind of notification ligh. hope you can explain to me what is wrong with my NEW Xperia z2

Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.

First please do try charging it through a wall socket for at least an hour and a half. If you still get no reponse/charging light then I would have to advise you to contact your local Xperia Care team regarding having an assessment arranged.

IF tried to switch the phone on and it also can't be switched on. THan try to charge it for 2 hours and see how it goes.

Most probably the battery is already flat and thats why even you try to charge the indicator won't show any sign of charging.
