My Xperia S not turning on (motherboard short circuit)

Hi Sony,

My device has stopped working after exactly 1 year, warranty has expired.

I have changed my computer cabinet, while connecting the front USB cable to the computer motherboard I did a mistake, connected it wrongly that is opposite side.

Later I connected my device to the PC front USB port, my xperia s is dead and not responding for anything, I tried all the possibilites to make the device on. Then I took it to the sony service center, they said tat your motherboard has to be replaced, which will cost me around 11k, I was just shocked to here that, instead of repairing the broken part they want to change the motherboard itself, Then nobody wish to buy sony mobile it this happens as I have spent 26k my hard earned money, and now I felt really bad. And the service guy told that your device is working if the charged battery is replaced, he suggested me to take to a local service center, I paid 112 rs for that information and took back. Wrost experience in the sony service center, they are just not cared about the customer satisfaction.

I have connected my nokia 5230 to the same usb port but it's just restarted and working fine.

I really fedup with this issue I will never buy sony again.

Sorry to hear that but the motherboard has to be replaced as its all together

Why the Whole Motheeboard when only the Power IC has to be Changed. I have had the same Issue and sony exactly said the same. I still have handset with me dead and bought a S4. Investing 12000 in a dead phone means no sense Sony. It could cost a 1500 to replace IC but sony wants to have 12000 for the replacement.

I have same problem but sony service center said me it is a sony erection phone so we cant repair this phone. why they said this? no parts are avilable to replace and maintance for this phone . SONY IS THE WROST PHONE OF THE WORLD. I NEVER PURCHASE THIS PHONE AGAIN AND I DONT RECOMENDADE FOR SONY MOBILES.

BRO FROM WERE YOU GOT YOUR POWER I.C. REPLACED... IN THIS MUCH CHEAP PRICE ...YESTRDY MY XPERIA S ALSO GOT DEAD AND NOW I DONT WANT TO SPEND SO MUCH IN THIS CELL PHONE .... SO PLZZ TELL ME FROM WICH LOCAL REPAIRER YOU GOT YOUR IC REPLACED IN SUCH A LOW CHARGE...
