Hold the power button for ten seconds to force a shutdown reboot.
If it fails to boot up still, try holding the reset button under the sim port for 5 seconds, if thar fails, it may need repairing using pc companion

Hi @andy010265,

You should be able to remove the battery on your Xperia M so you can try forcing it to turn off that way, then put the battery back and try to power the phone on again.

If the same thing keeps happening you should try a software repair using PC Companion as Viridis suggested.
