My phone overheated and won't turn on again

I had my phone on charger when I went to bed and once I woke up i unlocked it to check the battery status, everything was cool so I swiped to unlock and it turned off due to high temperature. I waited for few minutes but it won't turn on again, charging it again didn't help, the reset button, I tried lots of stuff, some info would be nice.

Charge it for about 1 hour,turn it on.

Seems to work, it's on now, but it took me almost a whole day to get it running, had some charging issues, i couldn't tell if it was charging or not, seems to be fine now, not sure if I should be worried or something..

Thanks anyways though, at least I can use it again

You could try a software repair to get rid of all apps,it will be a fresh start.
