My phone automatically powers off

Hi Fellow users/Friends,

I'd like to seek some help from you.

The problem is that my phone powers off automatically.

It's brand new.

After I got it, I did a few set up things and found out that the phone can be updated to .253, so I followed the instruction and updated.

The SIM card is not inserted.

I haven't touched the phone during the update process and after the update it had rebooted.

Everthing looks all right, but a while later, it shut down.

Then I turned on the phone again. And after a while it shut down again.

So, the only thing that I haven't set up is the SIM card.

As I said, a brand new phone.

Could any of you help me?

Thanks a lot!

BR,

helliton

BTW, the phone is fully charged before the update

Please try running a repair with the phone powered off using these steps:

To repair the phone software
1.     Install PC Companion on a Windows PC from Support
2.     In PC Companion, under Support Zone and click Start.
3.     Under Phone Software Update, click Start.
4.     Click repair phone.
5.     Follow the on-screen instructions.

Thanks for the reply!

After putting in the SIM card, it has not happened ever since.

So I guess it could be a default setting for the phone that if user don't install the SIM, it will power off after a while.

Anyway can't find it in the user guide...
