My Acro S does not install software update and could not even format even when using "Sony Update Service"

I have tried to update my acro s to the version 6.1.A.2.55. I followed the steps carefully using PC companion. Bu then after downloading data and it started to install, it stops after 1-5% and a message prompted that "installation failed". I tried to do it and keep getting same error. Now I tried to install "Update Service" from this link  http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/tools/update-service/ and installed/upgraded my PC COMPANION which I got from this link http://www.sonymobile.com/gb/tools/pc-companion/ and followed the same steps as this:

1. Before you start you have to download the PC Companion software fromhttp://www.sonymobile.com/gb/tools/pc-companion/

and install it on your PC.

2. Once installed on your PC, double-click the PC Companion icon on your desktop to start the update.

Note! For some models you will be prompted to do a backup prior to the update and then restore.

3. Install and open PC Companion then select Support Zone.

4. Phone Software Update.

5. Start.

6. Repair Phone

7. Continue

8. Accept data removal

9. Next

10. Wait for prepare

11. Select Phone

12. Follow the connection steps

The installation progress still stops at about 1-5% progress. The attached image is the error I am then having. Please help. Thanks!

Hmm, sounds strange. You should try turning any firewalls or anti virus/spam software in the PC as a first step.

Have you tried updating the phone via some other computer, to see if the problem is related to the phone or the computer? If not, you should try.
