I am trying to use the MW600 headset with 3 devices-an iPhone, an iPad, and a Mac.
I am able to successfully pair/sync to each device separately (I get the phone, generic, and computer icons on the display)
I can play music through one of the devices selected on the display after pairing/syncing.
However:
When I switch devices on the MW600 (by holding down the phone button, then using the volume control to pick another icon), that new device (say, the iPad, or computer) will claim the MW600 is connected. But, the MW600 controls do not work, and the sound is not transferred. I can see the MW600 in the bluetooth control panel, it says its Connected, but it obviously isn't.
The only way to get the other device to work again is to un-pair, then re-sync the MW600 completely. Sometimes this works, sometimes it doesn't. I am constantly having to un-pair, re-discover, and re-sync the MW600 to the three totally different devices to switch amongst them.
I could understand if one of my devices has an issue with Bluetooth, not the MW600. But I doubt all three of my devices have the same issue with Bluetooth, especially as my iPad works with a bluetooth keyboard, my Mac works with a non-mac bluetooth mouse with no issues, and my iPhone worked with a Bluetrek headset with no issues.
This can't be how the MW600 was designed. Why doesn't it consistently save more than one pairing/syncing?
Does the MW600 have an issue holding 3 device profiles in its memory consistently?
I'm sorry to hear about the troubles you have.
Have you tried to reset the headset? See page 15 in the users guide.

If the reset won't make any difference it might need to be updated or flashed at a repair center (can't unfortunately be done by yourself)
If you would like to send it to repair I suggest you contact you retailer.
Is hard to say, Bluetooth is a general connection but we can't unfortunately guarantee any full compability with your devices.
You can find the compability chart for MW600 on the website.

Thanks, Johan...I just bought the MW600 last week from the SonyStyle Store directly-I'm assuming that would have the latest firmware?
Hello,
When holding down the "phone" key you only switch device for voice calls.
If you want to switch device for media/music, then you should press and hold the "Play/pause" key.
MW600 can have one device for voice calls, then another device for media/music.
Hope this helps.
YOU ARE A GENIUS!!!
the switch works now (see my post today)
thx so much!!
I just got this BT device and am facing the same issue. Do the devices need to be paired in a particular sequence after resetting the headset?
No matter how many times I try, I can't seem to get it work with 2 devices simultaneously.
Device 1 - Blackberry (works fine individually)
Device 2 - iPod (works fine individually).
When I am listening to music and get an incoming call, there is no indication of the call on the BT device and I cannot accept a call on this device. Am I missing something very basic?
Try to push and hold the call key on your MW600 and check which device that is selected for call handling.
