Hi, I own Xperia S and I encouter really annoying problem. When I use Walkman app to play music, it stops playing after unspecified time. Sometimes it's after 30 seconds, sometimes 10 minutes passes. It doesn't look like the app is killed, because when I unlock the phone I can immediately see Walkman and press play. It behaves like I press pause button, but I don't! I have also tried playing music with Deezer app and it has no problems.
Android version: 4.0.4, 6.1.A.2.45
Walkman version: 5.0.A.0.13
I have also noticed that there are minor playback issues when the phone finds WiFi.
Is this a known issue?
Hi, I have exactly the same problem. I went to a technical centre to get my phone fixed but they just told me that it's normal. Also if I cant show the problem in front of technical people, they dont even consider looking at it. I live in Australia and Australian customer service is pretty bad so it might be why.
I hope this problem will be fixed soon.
I too had the same problem I did a factory reset about 3 times. It worked. And for Sony Service center Iam in India and my phone issue was un attended as I came on a scheduled power shutdown time.
This is the only reason why I decided to blacklist Sony's phone forever. This has been happening ever since the first ICS update, and wasn't been solved even after the second firmware patch. Now that Jelly bean 4.1.2 is finally here after such a long wait, thank God, but the walkman app still stops playing randomly, whether you're browsing webpages or just doing something else while listening to music. ANNOYING AS HELL. I did a factory reset, even a full system wipe, including BOTH the internal memory and SDcard partition, and reinstalled Jellybean stock ROM via Sony's Official Update Service, TWICE IN A ROW, but to no avail. I even mistakenly blamed Google Chrome for its fault, but it turned out that this happens with each and every single one of the web browsers I have used, including the stock browser that came with Jellybean, Firefox, Dolphin, etc. Don't even think that this was all caused by me rooting and/ or unlocking the phone because I didn't bother.
I am very disappointed with this. Even swiching to other music player didn't help at all. Music still stop playing randomly.
I have same problem with my Xperia "U" something's definitely wrong with Sony. I have tried reset, update, repair. Sony service centers could be renamed to "Hopeless service centers", have no of interactions on different issues, seems they themselves dont know about devices they built, or in general problems/ issues in market. HelloWwww. SONY ... WAKE UP!
i have same problem. Still not solved and not answered.
Even Mine,
I believed this is caused by the stamina mode, but it was happening without stamina mode too..its sick!!! developers please do something, we have paid quite a lot to get these..
