Moving files

I am having a problem moving a file from the Bluetooth inbox to a folder of my own on the 'start' page. Although there is a 'Move' item when opening the file nothing happens when it is highlighted. Any help would be much appreciated.

What did you use to access that file in the 'Bluetooth Inbox'?

What kind of file is it?

What do you mean by 'start' page?

Hello again,

The Bluetooth file I want to move is on the SDCard, I highlighted the file until a list of options came up, selected 'move' and pressed that item but nothing happens.

A text, TXT., file from my computer containing all the library books I have borrowed.

This old fella has to get round modern terminology but after seventy-six years it takes a bit of doing-the start page or the first screen that comes up when turning on the Xperia.

Sorry for me being thick .... from my understanding, I think you are using a File Manager app, trying to move a file to?
