mobile network not connected

Hi,

I bought a sony xperia z and everything was working fine for about two months when suddenly I realised my texts weren't sending. I am unable to receive texts and when I try and call out it beeps then hangs up. It says mobile network not connected. When i ring my phone it says they are currently not connecting to the phone. 

• I have tried another phone with my sim and it works fine.
• I am still able to access the internet with my pay as you go number.
• I still get a signal.
• I have factory reset and the same thing happens still. 
• i have tried a phone update and while it updates it doesn't change anything.

I took it into EE who im on, and they said nothing was wrong from network side, it must be the phone. Please help!

Are you able to 

1. make and receive calls? 

2. receive texts?

Did this happen to you after the update from build 10.3.1.A.0.244 to build 10.3.1.A.2.67?

I don't really remember but I don't think so. I've done a factory reset and it's still the same. I get full signal still, but it just won't connect.

Try restoring the device using pc companion with the latest build and test it once. See if that helps. Elsme may be you will need to take it to the service center.

What sim are you using?
Because In India for airtel you have to manually setup the Mobile network(only for Sony products)
