Hi Support,
I have bought one of the latest Sony Xperia 'S' model (Model number: LT26i and Build Number: 6.0.A.3.62).
Also have a micro-sim and not the cutted on.
Since I have started using my Xperia, it keeps on loosing NETWORK and i have to search the network manually or restart the mobile.
My android version is 2.3.7.. I hope it is the latest one for this model as I just bought it 2 months ago.
Could you please tell me if it is a common problem or I am the only one?
If common, what is the permanent fix for it? Or any workaround?
Please revert on it ASAP.
Regards,
Yuvraj Singh
Thanks for posting and welcome to the forum!
To answer your last question: No, it's not a common problem as far as I'm aware or have heard of.
Concerning how to sort it our I'd first of all would recommend you to try using another SIM-card in your phone so you can make sure what might be the cause of the problem. The phone or the SIM-card/network in some way.
Let me know how it worked out!

Hi Petter,
Thank you for your reply.
I had used the same micro sim in my old mobile i.e. Sony Ericsson C510a and it is working perfectly fine.
But when I inserted it back to Xperia S. It has started giving problem again.
I have switch off/ re-insert SIM /switch on mobile multiple times in a single day which is annoying. ALso this workaround is not 100% effective.
I have also gone thru a similar thread and have seen a lot of people complaining about the same NETWORK Issue:

Could you please if there is a fix for this issue?
Also update me if there are some basic settings required to configure Xperia S before using it.
Waiting for update/solution.

Yuvraj
My Xperia S had no signal the majority of the time walking round Canterbury on Sunday, now this was the first time i have visited the city and i do not know it that well but i would imagine it has pretty good cell coverage.
