Mobile internet state - disconnected

I have no internet connection on my Xperia X10 mini.

If I try to use the browser I just get page unavailable, I have gone into basic settings and tried the settings download but that just tells me to come to the website to download them, where are they?.

I then checked in the settings and it says the mobile network state is disconnected, please please help.

Hi. I have just ordered an X10 Mini Pro, and I plan to use it as a modem for my PC on my data tariff.

Is this easy to set up on this device? I have previously mostly used SE A200 based phones, but heard that setting up modem use on this one is harder due to the Android platform.
