Missing apps

Just turned the phone on, swiped or touched something inadvertently, and promptly lost all my apps.

Something called Own Order pops up on a blank screen, but how do I get back to the screen that shows all the apps?

Even the "Settings" icon is missing, making life difficult!

Appreciate any help, thanks!

Go to app menu and swipe from left to right (from the edge of the screen). There you can change the order.

Thanks! Where is the app menu?

Just tap on the 6 dots at the bottom center of the screen.

Tapping the 6 dots only brings up a blank screen. It then shows "Own Order" for maybe 2-3 seconds, then that is

replaced by 3 small horizontal lines - if I tap those, it just becomes a blank screen again.

Swiping from left to right on the blank screen does nothing either. I must be missing something!

Appreciate your efforts with me! I've tried the user guide, but it doesn't seem to cater for stuff which is so obvious!!

Can you post some screenshots? Haven't heard of this before.

You should never have answered me!

How do I do a screenshot? And how would I attach it ?

If you want to give up on me, I'd completely understand !!

I feel like I'm wasting your time. Sorry.

No problem. To take a screenshot, press power button and volume down at the same time. To post a picture, request desktop version.

Alexdon, I really do appreciate your time, but I think I'm going to have to give up on this!

I tried the screenshot, but I don't get any indication that anything's happened - and then I don't

how to request a desktop version anyway.

I'll go back to the shop next week and try & swap the phone for something easier to work. I've had it about

3 months now, since my Nokia 6300 packed in; I thought this E4 would be a good entry level smartphone, but it's been nothing but trouble, (far too complicated for me, I guess it's not the phone's fault!), & the user guide never covers whatever I need.

Have a good weekend, and many thanks again for your efforts.

I am really sorry, perhaps you just need some more time to learn how to use this.
