Hey guys,
first sorry for my bad english, I'm not a native speaker
My new Sony XAV-602BT moniciever can not connect to my Xperia Z Ultra (Newest Lollipop Update). When I plug-in my phone with a usb-cable, and start the mirrorlink-mode in my radio, my XAV-602BT only shows a loading circle with a dark backround. Even after 5 minutes nothing happens. On my phone there pop up a link in the statusbar: "Connect to headunit"(Translated from german to english, don't know, if this is the orig. Error in english language). If If I click on it, my statusbar shows me shortly "connected to headunit", and the loading-circle in my radio stops for a moment, but then then it continues. In my statusbar is no (persistant??) message like "Connected to head-unit"?!
Btw, even before I click on "Connecting to headunit"(and after that), my phone goes in landscape-mode and locked it.
I tried to start mirrorlink manually in the settings, but my phone only says "Mirrorlink will start soon". Also I tried to change the network adress in the mirrorlink settings, but that had no effect.
I hope anyone has an idea, what problem I have, and maybe somebody has an idea to solve it. Maybe someone had/has the same problem?
Kind regards,
Christoph
Have you read this?

I had unlocked my bootloader during Kitkat-times. To get the sony ota-updates i relocked it. I hope this is'nt the cause of my problem
While unlocking my bootloader, no one said, that mirror-link would'nt work anymore(on the sony-website)? Or did I overread it?
However the Sony-Servers accept my relocked bootloader and let me install the newest Lollipop update. With my unlocked bootloader, the ota failed.
Check this out
I think Rickard has posted about this before, I'll try to look for his post
This is not good, as I read your post, I tested the X-Reality Feature and I see no longer a differnece between on and off
However this feature is not important for me. In the Sony Unlocking-Guide Sony mentioned, that the camera-quality might be reduced. Ok. But, and I read the guide again, Sony never mentions that Mirrolink stops working! I mean this would be very unreasonable from Sony
Can't it be another cause? Or do I have any chance to get this working? I mean I bought a 350$ radio for excactly this feature. This would be very annoying
The reason it doesn't work is that your bootloader has been unlocked. When you do this the security keys are deleted permanently and without these keys, Mirrorlink doesn't work. I'm afraid i have no solution for this.
@Rickard Is'nt there any chance to get these keys back? I read about a mod, which can bring some keys back, e.g. the camera and X-Reality features. Does this mod includes also restoring the mirrorlink feature?
If not, can the Xperia-Support get them back, if I send them my phone?
I'm afraid not, they are permanently deleted.
Not sure what mod you are referring to but you would need to check this with the developer of the mod.
But with an unlocked bootloader it's also possible to use 3:rd party firmwares/roms so perhaps you can find a rom which has its own support for Mirrorlink which works without security keys.
A service location may perhaps be able to help you but i suspect they will need to replace the mainboard in the phone and this will not be covered by warranty. For more information i recommend that you contact your local support team.
