MiniPro with ICS .587 firmware reboots on connection to home WiFi

Hello,

Since the recent upgrade to ICS .587 firmware, my MiniPro has been experiencing an interesting but annoying problem.

When I connect to my home WiFi network, the phone will usually (but not always) reboot itself!

When I connect at work, I have no problems.

My home network has a hidden SSID and uses 802.11 b/g protocols and WEP security.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Thanks!

NB I have already done a factory reset, repaired using SUS, etc.

Which WiFi channel are you broadcasting your network on? I suspect that you are using a channel above 11, which can cause the most strange issues with Android devices. Try setting channel 10 or below instead.

Thank you Samuel.

It is currently set to channel 11.  I will try channel 10 and will report back.

Does it make a difference whether or not the SSID is Hidden or Broadcasted?

The hidden SSID shouldn't cause any troubles. But if you still experience issues with channel 10 you can try to show the SSID and see if things change.
